Server always seems to be empty, but I don't think it has anything to do with the mod that is currently on it.
When there were a couple bots in the server, seems like there was a few live players as well. I think many players like myself exclude empty servers from server lists. So I am not sure that the mod is the reason for the lack of activity on the server.
This could be tested by putting a different mod on the server for a couple weeks and see what happens. Or leave the GG mod on the server and add two bots.
If you plan to put the bots back on the server, set the map rotation to the basic maps only. Custom maps often do not include the pathing information for the bots. When the C2E server was using bots, I believe the instability and crashing came from the server trying to activate the bots on custom maps.

The reason why the server is dying is that Cs is Old News. With Online Consoles like Ps3 / X-Box / Wii / Lets not forget the new Pc games with better graphics then Cs.
I knew this day would come sonner or later. Like all online games. They all die out.

well, i know first hand that gg mod isnt doing well, in smm we ran gg mod for 2 months and had 0 to a few players ever, i changed it to wc3 and it quickly got more hits . . . and as for the older games being, outdated and boring, it must be nice to afford the newer ones at 50- 60 dollars a piece . . . and as much as i love to have a ps3, i cant afford the price of one, so players like me have to resort to the older games, like cs, cs will be golden for many years to come. . . as for thsi team, soo many people wanted on this team and noone but a few of us ever step foot in the server, so how do we fix that problem???

Well there‘s your problem... the majority of people who used to just float around online have moved on... It used to be even if there were no members on, a server with any type of mod (that works properly) would just populate on its own…
Look at the server list… remember how fucking long it used to be? Even Cs S has lost some steam due to TF2
Starcraft and Diablo 1&2 did the same thing
Now all of these online games still have some population in them… and with some work and perhaps an upgrade to CS:S I think C2E can forge a nice little nitch for itself…

ah yes but remember smm went source for 3 months and we got zero traffic, my own team wouldnt even play in server . . . i guess what we should do is request a conference or a chat with the owners of c2e and maybe we can figure out how to get some traffic, i know from a owners point of view that it sucks to pay for a public server and not have it being used . . .
and now im looking at it from a members point of view, lol all my team wanted source and i got it then they didnt show up, now im in the position of what members possibly want, now its a waiting game to see what the owner is willing to do . . .
Owners, if you read this, whats your thoughts on the subject?
